Shirley Srey is an Anusara-Inspired Yoga Teacher and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance.
A student of Anusara Yoga since December 2005, Shirley began studying extensively with John Friend in 2006. She has traveled to Maui, The Big Island, Tokyo, Paris, London, Berlin, Viterbo and Taipei, to study at his Teacher Training, Teachers’ Immersion, Advanced Intensives and Weekend Intensives, completing 200 hours to date directly with John.
Shirley is also a graduate of Tias Little Prajna Yoga having completed his comprehensive 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2006 at Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. In 2008, Shirley had the great honour of assisting Tias at his Yoga Anatomy Teacher Training and Prajna Immersion in Singapore, and at his sessions at the Evolution Asia Yoga Conference in Hong Kong.
She has also studied with other internationally acclaimed teachers such as, Edward Clark, Ana Forrest, David Swenson, Shiva Rea, Sharon Gannon, David Life and Matthew Sweeney. Shirley has over 2,500 yoga training hours since coming to yoga in July 2005.
Shirley is a student of Siddha Yoga. She finds that the Siddha Yoga teachings are so alive and that they continuously reveal to her new insights even as she revisits the same teachings over and over again.
A lover of creative movement and expression of the Heart, Shirley explores the elements of precise alignment, lightness, fluidity and playfulness in her classes. Her main influences are John Friend, Tias Little, and Bo Srey, all of whom have inspired her with their search for the Truth and who have lovingly showed her the true essence of teaching yoga.
Shirley currently lives in Singapore with her husband, Bo, a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher. They travel internationally and regionally to teach Workshops, Immersions, Trainings and Retreats. When not traveling, Shirley and Bo also offer privates, group or public classes.
